Dense fog hits normal life in Odisha, cold wave gripping State

BHUBANESWAR: Normal life in many parts of Odisha , particularly, in South, North and Coastal Odisha, has been badly hit since past couple of days due to dense fog.

Dense fog is likely to cover almost all the districts except the western parts of the State next two days, the Regional Meteorological Centre warned.

While the fog would cause poor visibility in most of the districts on November 28, the districts, including Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar, along with the coastal districts would witness dense fog on November 29, the Met office said.

The drivers have been advised to drive their vehicles carefully due to poor visibility.On Wednesday, the coastal and interior regions including Khordha, Puri and Kandhamal districts woke up to dense fog in the morning.

Meanwhile, cold waves have also gripped many parts of the State, particularly Western Part. Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Balangir , Keonjhar, Sundargarh and Angul witnessing cold wave.
