BHUBANESWAR: The 1988 Batch IFS Debidutta Biswal will replace1986 Batch IFS Deepak Mohanty as Director of Mines in Odisha. Deepak Mohanty serving as Director of Mines for last 8 years since 2012, which raise many eyebrows.
Biswal, who joined as Additional Secretary Department of Forest and Environment (DoFE) in June 2012 will be taking charges as Director Mines on July 1.On promotion, Biswal continued as Special Secretary in Department of Forest and Environment for last so many years. Biswal was given additional charge of Member Secretary Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB).
Odisha Government also appointed 1994 Batch IFS Officer K Murugesan as Member Secretary Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB). Dr.Murugesan was serving as Director Environment, Odisha in the Department of Forest and Environment.
