Dead Body of Pitambar Sahoo reaches Odisha from Bangladesh, Family Thanks Baijayant Panda

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: “Late-night yesterday, the mortal remains of late Pitamber Sahoo who was working as a lab manager in Bangladesh reached Salipur, Cuttack. At his family’s request, I had followed up with our High Commission there. Gratitude to @ihcdhaka H.E. @VDoraiswami for his timely intervention,” BJP National VP Baijayant Jay Panda tweeted @PandaJay on Thursday morning.

Officials from Baijayant Panda are in Bhubaneswar and as well as New Delhi offices coordinated well and finally the mortal remains of Sahoo reached Odisha.  Family members of deceased Sahoo thanked Baijayant Panda for his timely intervention with the Ministry of External Affairs and as well as Indian Ambassador in Dhaka, V Doraiswami , as a result of which, deceased’s dead body safely returned to Odisha and reached his native place in Salepur in Cuttack.

Earlier, while responding to a letter of BJP National VP and NCC Expert Committee Chairman, Baijayant Jay Panda, the Indian Embassy in Dhaka in Bangladesh, had taken steps to shift the dead body of one Pitambar Sahoo of Nandola village under Salepur block of Odisha’s Cuttack, working a lab manager of Aswad Composite Textile Mills and died in heart attack on December 11.

Hearing upon the sad news, deceased’s mother Sulochana Sahoo and wife Bharati Sahoo, had approached the BJP National VP requesting his immediate intervention into the matter. Responding the request, BJP National VP Jay Panda had written to Indian Ambassador in Dhaka requesting him for deceased Sahoo’s dead body shifted to his home State of odisha.
