BHUBANESWAR:The Special Intensification Rectification (SIR) campaign is in full swing in Odisha. Booth Level Officers (BLOs), BLO Supervisors, all election officers, BLAs appointed by political parties are continuing the intensive rectification process at the grassroots level by going door to door to ensure that no eligible voter is left out. Till 08.00 pm today, forms have been distributed to 25 lakh 23 thousand 974 voters.
45,255 BLOs are going door-to-door to help voters fill out and collect their counting forms.
During the house-to-house counting, each voter is provided with two copies of the pre-printed counting form (Annexure-III) through the BLOs. On the third day, the counting forms have been distributed to 25.23 lakh 974 voters by the BLOs. The BLOs collect one copy of the completed form and after signing the second copy, it is returned to the voter as a receipt or acknowledgement, which the voter will keep for future reference.
33,026 booth-level agents appointed by various political parties are also actively supporting the SIR process.
Voters can download this form from the official website of the Election Commission ( voters.eci.gov.in ) and can also upload it themselves after filling in the details.
It has been clarified that there is no need to collect any additional documents from the voters while filling up this enumeration form. The Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) will prepare the list of paper voters only on the basis of the correct information received from the voters.
This revision process will help in preparing a clean and accurate voter list in the state. All voter BLOs are requested to cooperate during the inspection.
