SAMBALPUR/BHUBANESWAR:A humane and sacred program was held today at Aditya Kalyan Mandap in Dhanupali, Sambalpur under the ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana’. On this occasion, Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Shri Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated the newlyweds through a video message and termed this scheme as a sign of the sensitivity of the government.
22 newlyweds from various blocks and municipalities of Sambalpur district tied the knot today and started a new life. Union Minister Shri Pradhan said in his message that this is not just a government program, but it is a unique demonstration of intimacy, feelings and responsibility. This is proof of a service-oriented governance. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many schemes are being implemented in the country for women empowerment. Starting from the ‘Subhadra’ scheme to the ‘Kanya Bhuva Yojana’ in the state, all the steps will help women to move forward in the society with dignity. Union Minister Shri Pradhan congratulated all the families and wished the success of the program.
Odisha Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravi Narayan Nayak and Sambalpur MLA Shri Jayanarayan Mishra were prominently present at the event and blessed the newlyweds. A large number of local people, family members and media representatives were present at the event.
