BHUBANESWAR:Comprehensive guidelines issued by the Food and Civil Supplies Department of Odisha to streamline LPG distribution and ensure availability of 5kg cylinders across the state.
Principal Secretary Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh clarified that there is no shortage of LPG, petrol, or diesel. 5kg Free Trade LPG cylinders are being made easily accessible to students and migrant workers through a simple process requiring only a valid ID proof, with no address proof needed.
Special camps are being organized to facilitate on-the-spot connections, while strict action is being taken against illegal vendors. So far, inspections at 1,633 locations have led to the seizure of 3,105 cylinders and registration of 288 cases.
District-level monitoring is underway to ensure smooth supply, with priority being given to essential institutions. Citizens are encouraged to use digital booking services for transparent and hassle-free access
