PURI:District Collector Divya Jyoti Parida has advised to complete this year’s Chandan Yatra of Lord Jagannath in an orderly and traditional manner. This afternoon, District Collector Narendra visited the Chandan Chakrada of Pushkarini and the place where Lord Shiva was seated.
The District Collector directed the concerned departments to make arrangements for maintaining peace and order, traffic control, special arrangements for vehicle movement, crowd control, lighting system, cleanliness and tidiness, information center system, drinking water system, cultural program system, health system, etc. during the Chandan Yatra.
During this field inspection, District Council Development Officer and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Arugula Sneha, Shrimandir Development Administrator Debrabrat Sahu, Executive Officer Abhimanyu Behera, City DSP Rashmiranjan Mohapatra and others were present. District level officials attended.
