BHUBANESWAR:The Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has held a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to find a permanent solution to the traffic problems in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and to beautify the two cities. To make the traffic of the city residents smooth and safe, the Chief Minister has directed the departmental officers to immediately repair all the bad roads and major traffic junctions of the twin cities and to implement the smart traffic system more strictly.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister specifically discussed the construction of an alternative 8-lane wide road for the smooth movement of pilgrims and tourists going to Puri via Cuttack-Bhubaneswar, flyovers at important places and removal of illegal parking. The Chief Minister has directed the Police Commissionerate, Urban Development and Public Works Department to work together in good coordination to make the twin cities a new and traffic jam-free city.
