CM –DGP condole the killing of 3 CRPF Jawans in Maoists Attack in Odisha

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and DGP SK Bansal have condoled the killing of 3 CRPF Jawans in Maoists attack in Odisha’s Nuapada district bordering Chhattisgarh.

The deceased Jawans were identified as ASI Sishupal Singh of Uttar Pradesh, ASI Shivpal of Haryana and Constable Dharmendra Kumar Singh of Bihar. Ex-gratia of Rs 20 Lakh each will be paid to the families of the martyrs. Sources said, during an operation in Patdhara area of Nuapada district, there was fierce gun battle between the outlawed ultras and CRPF while 3 Jawans have been martyred.

“Shocked at the unfortunate incident in Nuapada District where 3 CRPF jawans laid down their lives fighting the Maoists valiantly. My condolences to the families of the bravehearts,” Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said in a tweet.

“My heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs of #CRPF who laid down their lives fighting the Maoists valiantly in Nuapada district today. @odisha_police & @crpfindiawill ensure their supreme sacrifice doesn’t go in vain & give befitting reply. #JaiHind,” Odisha DGP said.
