BHUBA NESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the death of Vice Admiral SH Sarma (retired).
“Deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of one of #Odisha’s illustrious sons, Vice Admiral S H Sarma, PVSM. The veteran soldier led from front during many battles India has fought. My thoughts & prayers are with the bereaved family and friends,” Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tweeted @Naveen_Odisha.
Vice Admiral S.H. Sarma, PVSM (Veteran) passed away today evening at a hospital in Bhubaneswar. He was 100 years old.
The Indian Navy sources said Odisha-born Vice Admiral Sarma breathed his last at 6:20 PM today. His mortal remains will be taken to his home – Navy House, A/9 Nilakantha Nagar, Bhubaneswar, by 12.30 PM on January 4, 2022 where people can pay tributes to him.
