BHUBANESWAR:The victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the West Bengal Assembly elections is the victory of the people of Bengal. Reacting, Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan said that the people of Bengal have given a clear mandate against the injustice, oppression and arrogance of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress government.

He expressed his gratitude to the common people and workers of the state for creating a new history by presenting the Padma for the first time in West Bengal and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and National President Nitin Naveen. Shri Pradhan said that the women of Bengal have rejected the continuous atrocities on women in West Bengal and the insensitive comments made by the leaders of the ruling party. The Mamata government has completely failed to protect the dignity of women.

Mamata Banerjee’s government has always ignored the interests of the tribal community. Similarly, the farmers of the state have been betrayed by depriving them of the benefits of central schemes. The youth of Bengal today is facing the problem of unemployment. Instead of creating employment opportunities, the TMC government has been misleading the youth. The people of West Bengal have bid farewell to Mamata Banerjee and have expressed unwavering faith in the good governance of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shri Pradhan said that this victory will be a strong foundation in realizing Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s dream of ‘Sonar Bangla’.

Shri Pradhan thanked the people of Assam for voting for the BJP in a landslide victory for the third consecutive time in the Assam Assembly elections. He said that the people of Assam have rejected the divisive politics and appeasement of the Congress and supported the developmental work of the ‘double engine’ government under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. On the other hand, Shri Pradhan thanked the people of Tamil Nadu for reposing faith and support in the BJP and congratulated them for their performance in TVK. Similarly, he congratulated Chief Minister N. Rangasamy for the victory of the NDA in Puducherry and said that this is a testament to the people’s faith in the Prime Minister’s vision for development.
