ANGUL/BHUBANESWAR:The double engine government is committed to improving the development, transportation facilities, mobile connectivity, education, social security and child nutrition conditions of Angul district. This was informed by Sambalpur MP and former Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan on the important decisions discussed in the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting held in Angul district on Thursday.
There are about 3 lakh children in Angul district, from newborn to +2. According to the National Health Family Survey, their nutritional status needs to be further improved. In this context, improving their nutritional status cannot be done only by government services. This responsibility has to be taken up with the participation of society. On the occasion of the ‘Poshan Mas’ that has started recently and the ‘Seva Palk’ that is starting from the birthday of the popular Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, everyone, regardless of party or opinion, has to come together for the nutrition of these 3 lakh children. It was discussed in the meeting to launch a massive ‘Jana Andolan’ in this direction.
Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pani, all MLAs of Angul district, block chairmen, district council chairpersons, district collectors, senior administrative officers, and representatives of central agencies like Railways, NHAI, and BSNL were present in the meeting.
