BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has launched the ‘Odisha State Women Entrepreneurship Platform’ with the aim of promoting women in the field of entrepreneurship. This platform (Women Entrepreneurship Platform- Odisha Chapter), started with the support of NITI Aayog, is not just an institution, but a grand campaign of women’s economic leadership in the development journey of Odisha, said the Hon’ble Chief Minister on the sidelines of the ‘Udyami Odisha MSME Program’ and International MSME Day program organized at Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Center.

With rice milling in Balasore and rasgola cluster in Pahal, 2 multi-product MSME parks inaugurated in Ganjam and Kalahandi

On this occasion, a ‘Rice Milling Cluster’ built at a cost of Rs 24.18 crore has been inaugurated in Balasore, which will promote the production of rice bran oil. Similarly, the foundation stone of a ‘Rasogola Cluster’ at a cost of Rs 17.70 crore has been laid in Pahal to promote traditional delicacies. This will increase the daily production capacity of Pahal from 7,000 kg to 11,000 kg. Apart from this, two ‘Multi-Product MSME Parks’ have been inaugurated at a cost of Rs 10 crore each at Barpalli in Ganjam and Kesinga in Kalahandi.
Speaking at the event, NITI Aayog Deputy Chairman Dr. Ashok Kumar Lahiri said that Odisha has emerged as a rising star with a special focus on the Prime Minister’s Purvoday Yojana. Odisha’s GSDP growth rate is higher than the national GDP, and Odisha has secured the first position in NITI Aayog’s Fiscal Health Index-2026 due to massive investment in the health and infrastructure sectors of the state. He congratulated the Chief Minister for this sound economic policy of the state and termed it a ‘Dynamic Odisha’, noting that Odisha is currently making great progress in Sunrise Sectors like Textiles and Tourism.
