BHUBANESWAR:The Centre for Data Science (CDS) at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering of the SOA Deemed to be University here, formally launched the second volume of ‘DS Bulletin’, its annual newsletter, on Tuesday.
The newsletter was released by Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak, Founder President of SOA, in the presence of Prof. Manoranjan Parhi, Editor-in-Chief of the publication.
The annual newsletter comes along as a comprehensive record of CDS’s academic, research and outreach activities for the year 2025 highlighting the achievements and contributions of faculty members, research scholars and students associated with CDS which functions under the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
The second volume of ‘DS Bulletin’ features faculty profiles, notable research accomplishments including publications, awards and recognitions, as well as achievements of Ph.D. scholars and students. It also presents a snapshot of various departmental activities, academic events, workshops and initiatives undertaken by CDS during the year. By chronicling the milestones achieved throughout the year, the newsletter celebrates the collective efforts of CDS and serves as a valuable reference material for students, researchers, academicians and other stakeholders.
The newsletter focuses on the growing importance of data science and interdisciplinary research in addressing contemporary challenges and fostering innovation in higher education.
The efforts of Prof. Manoranjan Parhi, Editor-in-Chief of the newsletter, Dr. Sayantan Guha, Associate Editor, Dr. Ashis Kumar Pati, Associate Editor, Ms. Meenakshi Das, Associate Editor and all contributors involved in its preparation have been highly appreciated. It also reaffirmed CDS’s vision of promoting impactful research, innovation and excellence in data science education.
