BHUBANESWAR: Arjun Kumar Dhal, who was working as Central Excise Assistant Commissioner was found hanging at his residence in Baramunda Housing Board Colony in State Capital of Bhubaneswar in Odisha, police said on Sunday.
The hanging body has been recovered from his house near Baramunda in Bhubaneswar.The deceased was identified as Arjun Kumar Dhal. The body has been sent for post mortem and the cause behind the death will be known after the autopsy, sources said.
Though the exact reason behind the officer’s death is yet to be ascertained, the incident is suspected to be a case of “suicide”. According to sources, Dhal was scheduled to retire from his service after six months. Police initiated a probe.
