BHUBANESWAR: Prabhat Kumar Nanda, Managing Director of M/s Raghupatee Estate & Holding Pvt Ltd was on Friday arrested by the Economic Offences Wing Bhubaneswar of CID- CB on charges of duping two persons to the tune of Rs. 25.5 lakh.
A complaint was lodged by one Bebajyoti Dutta wherein he had alleged that he was not provided with the flat for the last 8 years despite deposit of money as booking advance with Prabhat.
Investigation of the case revealed that accused Prabhat has taken Rs. 25.5 lakh from Debajyoti Dutra and Mamata Barik during the period 2011-12 with assurance to provide residential flat in a housing project under name & Style “Pristine Park” located in Mouza-Bhanpur in Cuttack. However, neither such flat was given to the above-said customers till date nor their deposit amount has been returned.
Incriminating documents pertaining to the case have been seized during the search of the residential premises of accused located at village Bhanapur, Cuttack in course of an investigation.The investigation of the case is underway.
