BHUBANESWAR:Brahmapur Sadar PS Arrests 3 Accused and apprehends 2 Juvenile in Connection with Gang Violence and at Kukudakhandi; weapons and explosives recovered.
In connection with a serious law and order incident at Kukudakhandi, Brahmapur Sadar PS arrested three accused and apprehended two Juvenile in conflict with law for rioting, assault and hurling of bombs. Two live bombs have been recovered from the possession of an accused.
Details of the Incident:On 14.09.2026 around 5:00 PM, a group of anti-socials armed with weapons including swords, katis entered Bauri Sahi, Kukudakhandi. Based on the report, B. Sadar PS Case No. 585/2026 dt. 15.09.2026 U/s 126(2)/296/109/351(2)/190/111(
Police Action and Arrest:During investigation, primary accused was arrested on 16.09.2026 and forwarded to the Hon’ble Court. On 18.09.2026, three more accused persons were arrested:
1. Gangadhar Mohanty @ Ganga (22), S/o Rajendra Mohanty, Vill- Kaluasahi, Kukudakhandi, PS- B Sadar.
2. Bikash Patra (25), S/o Rabindra Patra, Vill- Kaluasahi, Kukudakhandi, PS- B Sadar.
3. Subham Kumar Sahu (19), S/o Susant Kumar Sahu, Vill- Balakrushnapur, PS- B Sadar.
Two children in conflict with law, aged 16 years and 17 years, were also apprehended in connection with the case.
All the three accused persons were forwarded to the Hon’ble Court and the two apprehended children were produced before the Hon’ble Juvenile Justice Board, Brahmapur on 18.09.2026.
Recovery:Acting on a disclosure statement made by accused Gangadhar Mohanty U/s 23(2) of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, police searched his premises and seized two live jute bombs. Further investigation is in progress.
