BHUBANESWAR:BMC) has allotted pucca houses to 114 eligible beneficiaries through lottery today. All these beneficiaries have been provided houses in Chandrasekharpur Nilamadhav Housing Project. Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Sulochana Das has provided these houses to 114 families of more than 10 settlements in the Nilamadhav Housing Project today.
The chief guests at a program organized on this occasion were Hon’ble Mayor Mrs. Sulochana Das, Deputy Mayor Mrs. Manjulata Kahur, BMC Commissioner Mr. Chanchal Rana, Housing Deputy Mr. Ajay Kumar Mohanty, and senior officers of BDA, Major Manchasin.
A committee will be formed with these beneficiaries in the coming days. This committee will understand all the responsibilities of the concerned block or apartment. The Mayor said that there are plans to build market complexes etc. for the economic upliftment of the people.
The Commissioner said that the 114 families who have received new houses and will be shifted in the near future will be provided with necessary facilities during the relocation.
BMC has made all arrangements so that no beneficiary faces any inconvenience while moving to the house or after reaching there. Drinking water, electricity etc. will be provided. BMC will continue to provide such assistance in the coming days.
To maintain cleanliness in the allocation of houses, houses are being allotted through lottery in the presence of all the beneficiaries. Apart from this, if any beneficiary gets the house by mistake or by submitting fake documents, then they will be evicted from the house and strict action will be taken against them. Both the Hon’ble Mayor and the Commissioner have indicated that an FIR will be lodged in their name.
All these programs today were coordinated by Deputy Commissioner, Housing, Shri Ajay Kumar Mohanty and supported by Team BMC.
