Blood donation camp jointly organized by Commissionerate Police and XIM University: 177 units of blood collected

BHUBANESWAR:A voluntary blood donation camp and awareness program was organized by the Commissionerate Police today on 03/02/2026 at the XIM University campus in Harirajpur (Nijigarh) with great enthusiasm. Due to the enthusiastic participation of the students in this camp, a total of 177 units of valuable blood were collected.

The event, organized in collaboration with the Red Cross Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police and NSS Branch of XIM University, was inaugurated by Police Commissioner Dr. Suresh Devdutt Singh, V.P.S. and University Registrar Father S. Antony Raj. Staff from Capital Hospital, BMC Hospital and Central Red Cross Blood Bank carried out the blood collection work, while the Police Commissioner and other guests encouraged the volunteers who donated blood by giving away certificates.
On this occasion, a special awareness session on the themes of ‘Cyber ​​Security’ and ‘Jeevan Zindabad’ was organized at the University’s Mini Auditorium. Additional Commissioner of Police Shri Narasimha Bhola, B.P.S., who was the chief guest, advised the students to excel in life and become responsible citizens.
In this program, under the direct supervision of Additional DCP of Commissionerate Police, Shri Manas Ranjan Gadnayak, an anti-drug awareness video titled “Nisha Ku Neha” was screened. Along with the cultural program, an awareness play on the themes of ‘Cyber ​​Crime’ and ‘Jeevan Zindabad’ was presented by NSS students.
