BHUBANESWAR:By obstructing the Women’s Powers Act in Parliament, the Congress and other opposition parties have betrayed half the population of the country. The opposition has killed the constitutional rights of women. While the successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to include women in the policy-making process by providing 33 percent reservation in the Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha, the opposition parties have failed it for their narrow political interests. This is not just “the defeat of a bill, but the foeticide of mothers’ dreams”.

This is not the defeat of Modi, but a strong blow to all the women of the country. Especially when the Congress and other opposition parties are only using women as a vote bank, the Modi government is determined to provide them real empowerment, said the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.

Paying tribute to the female tourist killed by terrorists in the Kashmir valley last year, the Modi government has given a befitting reply to the terrorists through ‘Operation Sindoor’ and proved that anyone who raises a finger on the dignity of Indian women will be punished. ‘Subhadra Yojana’ is a groundbreaking initiative for the financial independence of women in the state. Along with this, he announced that ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangal Yojana’ will be launched soon, in which Rs 20,000 will be provided at the time of birth and Rs 1 lakh 1 after graduation. The main goal of our government is to make every woman in the state a ‘Lakshapati Didi’. Women have faith in Modi, this will be fulfilled in the coming days. The fight for women’s rights will continue. The woman who runs the family can also set the policies of the nation, said the Honorable Chief Minister Shri Majhi.
The popular Chief Minister condemned the indecent language used by the opposition leaders towards the Prime Minister and the women community and said; The opposition has already fulfilled its 99 sins, the Congress is also going to suffer the same fate as Sishupal after 100 insults. Today’s fire of anger will spread from village to city and this public anger will destroy the political future of the opposition. The Honorable Chief Minister Shri Majhi has called upon women not to remain silent and raise their voices for their rights.
The discussion that took place in Parliament on the 17th for women would have changed the history of the country. All the opposition parties, including the Congress, did not allow this bill to be approved. Which surprised everyone. The celebration that Rahul Gandhi and other parties celebrated, no matter how much they condemn it, will be less and the countrymen will never forgive it. A state-wide march was held today against the anti-women orientation of the opposition parties. In the coming days, it will be taken to the districts, mandals and state levels. The fight will continue till the end to give constitutional respect to women. The opposition will be forced to support the bill again, said State President Shri Manmohan Samal.
Women’s power is the strength of the nation. The legendary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is making many efforts to empower women. BJP has always fought for the respect of women. The Nari Shakti Bandhan Act will strengthen the participation of women in politics. Congress and BJD are both anti-women. Congress, DMK, TMC, Samajwadi Party along with BJD voted against this act in Parliament to deprive women of their rights, while BJD supported them. The women of Odisha will never forgive this, said the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Parvathi Parida.
To show respect and support for the women’s agitation, a huge “Jan Akrosh Aishwarya Pad Yatra” was organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party from Exhibition Ground to Lower PMG in the capital Bhubaneswar today. Women from all walks of life, wearing black bands, participated in the procession. On this occasion, effigies of leaders opposing the roadshow were burnt.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo, Shri Prithviraj Harichandan, Shri Ravi Naik, Shri Nityanand Gand, Honorable Minister Gokulanand Mallick, MP Shri Pratap Sadangi, Smt. Anita Subhadarsani Patnaik, State General Secretary Smt. Purnima Nayak, State Secretary Pinki Pradhan and other senior leaders were present in the program. Finally, Women’s Front State President Dr. Aishwarya Biswal proposed the vote of thanks.
