Parvathi Parida and the state government would like to express their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the “7th Odisha Travel Bazaar 2026” launched yesterday with the aim of giving a new identity to the rich culture, heritage, food, memories of the Boit Bandhan and the beautiful tourist destinations of Odisha in the world and attracting investment to the state.

This international platform has created an unprecedented buzz in the Odisha tourism sector. The event has been very successful in bringing together renowned travel operators, investors and experts related to the tourism industry from the country and abroad. This effort of the state government to give a special place to the rivers, seas, forests, wildlife, spiritual places and tribal culture of Odisha in the global tourism map is commendable. Through this travel bazaar, the possibility of large-scale investment in the sectors of hotels, home-stays, eco-tourism and infrastructure development has been created. Due to the direct guidance of the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the policy decisions of the BJP government, Odisha is today emerging as one of the major “tourism hubs” of the country. The state government has sanctioned a huge land bank of 5500 acres for the development of tourism infrastructure in the state. Similarly, a budget of Rs. 1500 crore has also been sanctioned between 2026 and 2031 for the development of quality infrastructure and construction of hotels in the state. The state government is going to start a tourist police system in 29 major tourist destinations of the state, focusing on the safety of visitors coming to the state. Shri Malik asserted that this visionary program of the government will definitely prove to be a milestone in taking Odisha’s tourism development to new heights and strengthening the state economy.
