BJP RS MP Ashwini Vaishnaw reviews MPLADs works at Gopabadhu IMSRC in Cuttack

ATHAGARH/BHUBANESWAR: BJP Rajya Sabha MP and former Odisha cadre IAS officer , Ashwini Vaishnaw , who had donated Rs 30 lakhs from his MPLADs for Gopabadhu Institute of Medical Science and Research Center at Athgarh in Cuttack, Odisha to fight COVID-19, was on Friday paid a visit to the Centre and took stock of ongoing work.

“ As you know I had contributed 30 lakh rupees out of MPLADS Fund for purchasing ventilators for 5 bedded ICU at Gopabadhu Institute of Medical Science and Research Center at Athgarh in , Cuttack in Odisha, today I paid a visit to the Centre and reviewed ongoing work,” the Rajya Sabha MP , said.  The BJP Rajya Sabha MP Vaishnaw had also donated Rs 2.5 crore from his MPLADs to PMRF to fight the outbreak of COVID-19.

Earlier on Thursday, the BJP MP had also paid a visit to AIIMs in Bhubaneswar, met both NALCO CMD Sridhar Patra and AIIMS Director Gitanjali Batmananabe and had urged them to expedite the stalled construction projects for patients short stay facility (Dharamshala) at the premises of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, a brain child of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna , late AB Vajpayee Ji.

The Rs 19 crore project which was about to built a 85,000 sq feet building has been stalled for a long-time while BJP MP Vaishnav took up the matter with NALCO CMD and AIIMS Director over this issue and urged them to complete it as soon as possible for the benefits of thousands of poor patients. “If the building comes up, it will house more than 400 patients at a time,” the BJP MP had argued.
