BHUBANESWAR:Climate change is happening all over the world due to deforestation, pollution and water scarcity. Its effects are being felt gradually and livelihoods are being disrupted. In such a situation, tree planting has become essential for environmental protection. In this regard, on the occasion of World Environment Day, State President and MP Shri Manmohan Samal planted trees at the BJP state office premises, following the vision of the late Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He appealed to each person to plant at least 10 trees and take care of them and turn them into a big forest.

On this occasion, Shri Samal said that inspired by the “Tree for Mother” campaign of the late Prime Minister Shri Modiji, the BJP family is committed to environmental protection. Recognizing the constitutional responsibility towards nature, he appealed to everyone to create a beautiful green future for the coming generation. For this, Shri Samal took a pledge to keep the earth fertile, fruitful and green by planting trees and asked them to take a resolve to create a clean environment. Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Parvathi Parida, Minister Shri Sampada Chandra Swain, Shri Mukesh Mahalinga and many MLAs and party workers were present at the event and planted trees.
Similarly, the BJP Kisan Morcha has planted trees in a garden near the famous Andasupa Lake in Banki block of Cuttack district. The Morcha’s state president, Shri Subhransu Mohan Padhi, participated in this and planted many valuable trees.
On this occasion, Padhi said that it is the moral responsibility of all of us to protect the environment and maintain the natural balance. In the current heat wave and climate change, tree planting is the only option. Therefore, in the memory and respect of Mother Earth and our own birth mothers, Shri Padhi called upon each person to take responsibility for its protection by planting at least one tree.
Kisan Morcha State Vice President Shri Niranjan Rautraya, Shri Alok Mohanty, General Secretary Shri Artabandhu Parshti, Editor Shri Prashant Kumar Gantia, Treasurer Shri Biswajit Swain and Office Secretary Shri Ranjit Acharya along with a large number of activists and local environment lovers participated in this public tree planting program.
