NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP-Spokesperson and 4th times former Parliamentarian, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda was on Monday wished a very healthy and long life for Tibetan exile leader and His Holiness Dalai Lama on his 85th Birth Day.
“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive”His Holiness the Dalai Lama is the embodiment of that spirit, despite having faced the most enormous tribulations. My deepest respect & good wishes to him on his 85th birthday,” the former MP, Panda tweeted.
Revered globally as a ‘living god’, Buddhist spiritual leader the Dalai Lama, who transcends all barriers of religion, language and even distances, turned 85 on Monday and his followers began the global virtual celebrations to dedicate him the ‘Year of Gratitude’.
The spiritual leader in a video message from his abode in Dharmasala asked his followers that it was not possible for a large number of people to hold a big celebration because of restrictions due to the pandemic.
