NEW DELHI:   Electoral Alliance between Bharatiya Janata Party and Biju Janata Dal has been finalised here. The Formal announcement will be made soon jointly by Prime Minister Narendra  Modi and BJD Supremo Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Both the leaders are likely to meet shortly during PM’s visit to Odisha in next week. BJD is also all set to officially join in National democratic Alliance.

As per the highly placed sources in both the parties seats sharing formula between the two parties has also been concretised. In Lok Sabha poll BJP will contest from 14 seats leaving 7 seats to BJD out of total 21 seats in Odisha.

In assembly election BJD will contest from 106 constituencies and BJP from rest 41 constituencies out of total 147 seats. Naveen Patnaik will be projected as the leader of the proposed alliance and Chief Minister face. Pollsters predict that the new alliance will have thumping victory in the ensuing General and State Elections.

In the post election scenario Naveen Patnaik in all likelihood shall continue to remain as Chief Minister for a record of 6th term capturing the hot seat at third Floor of Loka Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. There will be two Deputy CM’s , one each from BJD and BJP under Shri Patnaik to assist him. It may be mentioned here that BJP – BJD alliance was broken in the year 2009 in the wake of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati’s murder controversy.
