BJD’s Women Face in Biju Babu’s Karmabhoomi: Loyalty to Naveen Patnaik Coupled with Dedicated Work Paying Dividends for Jyostrani Jena

BHUBANESWAR/KENDRAPARA: Call it Loyalty to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik coupled with dedicated work paying dividends for BJD’s Jyostrani Jena, who has been appointed as one of the State General secretary of Party’s women wing. The BJD Zilla Parishad Member (Zone-8) and Kendrapara district Planning Board Member; Jyostnarani Jena is emerging as Women face of the regional outfit in Biju Babu’s Karmabhoomi.

With persistent dedicated work at ground level and blessings of Chief Minister Naveen, Patnaik, Jyostnarani Jena flying high with Party’s high command reposing faith on her. Since last 18 years, she has been actively working for BJD in Kendrapara and also in State level.

The ZP Me member from Kendrapara, Jyostnarani Jena, was among the few grass root level leaders of ruling BJD, earned huge praise for their humanitarian and philanthropic work during COVID-19 crisis and Jena’s dedicated work in reaching out to general public was, also praised by the Chief Minister’s Office.

Based on the recommendation made by Biju Mahila Janata Dal President Snehangini Churria, BJD President Naveen Patnaik has reposed faith on Jena, who was a leading women face in Kendrapara district.

“Even though She is  a ZP Member, but she never missed to serve the people in time of need and all most all sitting MLAs of the district were aware of her dedicated  work, “added a BJD leader.  Jena’s elevation to General secretary of women wing, may help BJD in Kendrapara during the coming Panchayat and Zilla Parishad polls, sources added. Besides in BJD, Jena also an lifetime member of Rotary International and she has been also active in Red Cross and AIDS awareness campaign.

The Biju Mahila Janata Dal has 27 Vice-Presidents, 35 General Secretaries, 36 Secretaries, 28 Joint Secretaries in its new team and 69 Executive Body members.    

The revamp in the ruling party indicates a big change of guard in the Government also. It seems that the BJD is now in full swing for upcoming Panchayat elections as the performance of the party was not up to the mark in last poll held in 2017. Speculations are rife that Naveen may go for a reshuffle in the Council of Ministers soon.
