BHUBANSWAR: BJD Rajya Sabha MP and Spokesperson Dr.Sasmit Patra was on Tuesday hits out at BJP’s Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi for flouting COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Centre and State.
“The Prime Minister and Chief Minister’s appeal was respected by the 4.5 crore people of Odisha who obeyed the COVID instructions provided by the Centre and the State but Aparajita Sarangi with her repeated violations is setting a bad example before the people despite being an elected public representative” Dr Patra said:
Dr Patra, said that the Biju Janata Dal has requested the BJP MP to follow the COVID instructions provided by the Centre and State and not set a bad example for the people of Odisha.Throwing all COVID guidelines to the wind and breaking social distancing, she and her supporters attended a flyover Bhoomi Pujan programme, said the BJD Spokesperson.
Earlier she was fined for violating COVID instructions and breaking social distancing norms. She accepted she had made a mistake and the BJP also said it was sad. But she continued violating the COVID instructions, Dr Patra pointed out.
