BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra’s Sijimali Petition Under Active National Commission of Scheduled Castes (NCST) Consideration; Commission Seeks Further Response

BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra, has received an important communication from the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) on his petitions regarding alleged police excesses and tribal rights violations in Sijimali.

The NCST informed that the matter is under investigation and has forwarded responses received from the Odisha Steel & Mines Department, Odisha Police Human Rights Protection Cell, and the Collectors of Kalahandi and Rayagada.Dr. Patra has been requested to submit his comments for further action by the Commission.
