BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: Madhusmita Mohanty, mother of Kendrapara BJD Lok Sabha MP, Anubhav Mohanty , has filed an FIR against her Elder-Daughter-Law , Varsha Priyadarshini at Purighat Police Station after the actress refused to vacate her in-laws Nandi Sahi House in Cuttack in view of repair and reconstruction of the 60 years old house.In her FIR, Madhusmita Mohanty mentioned that the house they are staying belongs to her in-laws and the same was constructed 60 years ago, that required repair and renovation.
“Recently, there was a problem in Safety Tank for which I consulted with Masson to repair it. Both the Masson and Plumber requested me as well as other family members to remain absent for at leas 10 days, so that the repair and reconstruction can be completed, but my eleder daughter –in-law Varsha Priyadarshini refused to vacate the house for no reason. Though I requested her to stay in her parental house at Buxi Bazar and can come regularly to Nandi Sahi to verify the reconstruction and repair works but reasons best known to her, she is not leaving the house as desired for 10 days,” MP Anubhav Mohanty’s mother Madhusmita Mohanty wrote in her FIR to Purighat PS, a copy of the FIR of which , is with this News Website.
“Thereby she is causing immense problem to me as my well as my ailing husband Abhay Kumar Mohanty and other family members who are staying with me. I am apprehending my daughter-law can create any circumstances out of nothing as she is doing so since last 2 to 3 months,” the Kendrapara MP’s mother said in her FIR.“Therefore, I humbly request you to kindly come to my residence , verify the facts stated above and do the needful , so that the work can be completed smoothly without any hindrances,” the FIR said.
It may be noted here that Senior Advocate Ashiwni Dubey appearing for BJD MP Mohanty, had informed the a bench of Justice Hrishikesh Roy of the Supreme Court, that transfer plea filed by MP’s estranged wife Varsha Priyadarshini, was premature. Dubey had told the bench that Varsha is entitled for business class ticket she has been staying in Delhi is a film star and is financially sound. The BJD Lok Sabha MP’s counsel further submitted that the aged parents of Mohanty are critically ill and the transfer will affect their health. She is a successful actor, producer, social worker and keeps travelling extensively across the India. MP Mohanty had approached the Apex Court by way of a caveat petition seeking its side to be presented before the court passed any order in the transfer petition.It may be noted here that Patiala House Court which was slated to hear the petition fild by Mohanty against Varsha on December 7, was stayed for the time being till further orders of the Apex Court of the matter.
