BJD fields 7 Women Candidates of the total 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha , only 4 sitting MPs Re-Nominated

BHUBANESWAR: The BJD has put 7 women candidates of the total 21 candidates, the Naveen Patnaik led Regional Party fielded in Odisha for Parliamentary polls. BJD has announced candidates for all 21 MP seats in Odisha and the party nominated 33% women ,7 candidates.

BJD fielded Manjulata Mandal in Bhadrak, Lekhasree Samantsinghar in Balasore, Rajashree Mallick in Jagatsinghpur, Sarmistha Sethi in Jajpur, Kausalya Hikaka in Koraput,  Ranjita Sahu in Aska and Parinita Mishra in Bargarh

Of the total 21 MP candidates, only 4 sitting MPs were re-nominated. They were Dr Achyuta Samanta in Kandhamal, Sarmistha Sethi in Jajpur, Rajashree Mallick in Jagatsinghpur and Manjulata Mandal in Bhadrak.

So far, the BJD has announced its candidates for 117 MLA seats against the total seats of 147 while the party had announced all its 21 Lok Sabha candidates.
