BHUBANESWAR/PIPILI: Biju Mahila Janata Dal State general secretary and Zilla Parishad member from Kendrapara, Jyostnarani Jena has campaigned at Pipili seeking vote for her Party candidate Rudra Maharathy, son of late BJD veteran Pradeep Maharathy ahead of the September 30 By polls.
BJD Women wing State GS Jena along with other party workers moved door to door seeking votes for Rudra. Jena also talked to locals at Mangalpur GP under the Assembly segment and urged voters to vote for BJD to strengthen Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s mission for a vibrant Odisha.
BJD candidate Rudra Pratap Maharathy embarked on a door-to -door campaign with party leaders and grassroots level members as he asked the voters to turn up at the polling stations in large numbers in support of the ruling party. Ashrit Pattanayak, the candidate of the BJP, and Biswakesan Harichandan Mohapatra of Congress too are also campaigning.
The high-voltage campaign for the bypoll going on. A total of 10 candidates are in the fray for the bypoll which was earlier postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the death of Congress candidate Ajit Mangaraj.
