BHUBANESWAR:Bidyut Ranjan Bhol, Deputy Manager, Sambalpur Division, OPHWC, placed under arrest was forwarded today to the Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur and remanded to Jail custody till 15.04.2026 *for possessing disproportionate assets over 400% beyond his known sources of income*, which he failed to explain satisfactorily.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS case No.03 dt.01.04.2026 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b)/12 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against Sri Bidyut Ranjan Bhol, Deputy Manager, Sambalpur Division, OPHWC and his spouse.
Following interception on 31.03.2026, simultaneous searches were conducted at 6 locations linked to Sri Bhol on the strength of search warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.
During searches, the following assets *worth crores* were unearthed in name of Sri Bhol and his family members. The assets unearthed include;
1) *2 multi storeyed buildings*.
2) *1 flat in Bhubaneswar*.
3) *29 plots in Jatni, Berhampur and other locations*.
4) *Gold weighing 1.140 Kg including 6 gold coins & 2 gold biscuits and silver 751 gms*.
5) *Cash Rs.48,79,100/-*.
6) *Deposits Rs.81,83,979/-*.
The investigation of the case is in progress.
