Baijayant Panda writes to Indian Ambassador in Dubai seeking safe return of Odia Worker

BHUBANESWAR/NEW DELHI: BJP National VP In Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant Jay Panda on Tuesday has written  a letter to Indian  Ambassador in Dubai in United Arab Emirates  seeking his intervention for safe return of one Biswa Ranjan Rout of Kendrapara in eastern Indian State of Odisha.

The BJP leader Panda, in his letter mentioned that, Routray hailing from Garadapur block under Patkura Police limits of Kendrapara, had gone to Dubai to work with a private company.

Sources said, the company had initially agreed to hire him for 8 hours works daily basis with Rs 50,000 per month but later the employer did not keep his promise and forced the Odia worker for 12 hours work per day. Once he resisted, the company officials tortured  him and left him without food and even when he offered to resign , the company official demanded Rs 1 Lakh, sources added.

Finding no way, out, Routray’s father Khirod Routray had approached BJP Natonal VP Panda and keeping his request, Panda has written to Indian Ambassador for Biswa Ranjan’s safe return to Kendrapara.
