NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: BJP National VP Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda on Saturday expressed his deepest gratitude to National President JP Nadda and General Secretary (Organisation), BL Santosh, a RSS man in the ruling establishment, for bestowing faith on him and assigned him as Pravari for north-eastern States of Assam and National Capital, Delhi.
Assuring both JP Nadda and BL Santosh, BJP National VP Jay Panda reiterated his commitment to work under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to boost party’s growth across the Country including in the north-eastern States, where BJP making steady progress.
The new assignment to Panda given a new hope for his supporters, who were apprehensive about Jay Panda’s political debacle with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik using all his man and machinery to put him in trouble by raising land scam in Khorda and Puri and media manipulation issues involving BJP leader’s wife managed OTV.

The BJP VP, who was also a 4th times former MP from Odisha, played a key role in the bypolls in Manipur in which BJP performed very well and the local Chief Minister N Biren Singh acknowledged Panda’s campaigning and its impact in polling. BJP had won the Wangoi, Singhat and Wangjing Tentha and Saitu Manipur Assembly bypoll seats while an Independent candidate bagged one, in many places, Jay Panda had campaigned for the party and formed strategy to ensure BJP’s massive victory, sources said. Party’s national spokesperson Sambit Patra has been given the charge of Manipur.
Panda, a former Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader, joined the BJP in March 2019 and earlier worked as National spokesperson with twice each representation in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha from .Panda is considered as an important leader of the saffron party who will coordinate with Cabinet Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
