KENDRAPARA/BHUBANESWAR: With Voting day of June 1 closely approaching, BJP National Vice President and Party’s Lok Sabha candidate for Kendrapara Parliamentary seat, Baijayant Jay Panda on Sunday stepped up his election campaigning by touring several places of Rajnagar, Garapur and Mahakalpada segments under this Parliamentary seat.
‘ଆଜି ପବିତ୍ର ମହାବିଷୁବ “ପଣା” ସଂକ୍ରାନ୍ତି ତଥା ଓଡ଼ିଆ ନବବର୍ଷର ଶୁଭ ଅବସରରେ ଆମ ଦଳର ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ନେତୃବୃନ୍ଦଙ୍କ ସହ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରାପଡ଼ାର ରାଜନଗର ସ୍ଥିତ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ମା ମାଟିଆ ମଙ୍ଗଳା ମନ୍ଦିର ଏବଂ ମହାକାଳପଡ଼ା ସ୍ଥିତ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ମା ଦରିଆ ରାମଚଣ୍ଡୀ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଦର୍ଶନ କରି ସାନିଧ୍ୟ ଲାଭ କରିବା ସହ ସମସ୍ତଙ୍କ ମଙ୍ଗଳ କାମନା କଲି, Jay Panda said in a X post.
The senior BJP leader Jay Panda, who is trying his luck for the 4th times from this Lok Sabha seat, began the day by offering prayers at Maa Matia Mangala Temple in Rajnagar.
Huge crowed were seen gathered to welcomed the senior BJP leader at Rajnagar , which is the home turf of BJD’s Lok Sabha candidate , Anshuman Mohanty. Public response to BJP leader Panda at Rajnagar , has sent a shockwave for BJD candidate Mohanty. Panda talked to local people and requested them to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfil his dream for a developed India by 2047.
After completing his Rajnagar tour, Jay Panda then flown to Mahakalpada, where he offered prayers at Dariya Ramchandi Temple in Mahakalapada, interacted with locals, party leaders and workers. Panda asked local party leaders and workers in Mahakalpada to work in coordination with all functionaries to ensure BJP’s target of ‘Aabki Baar 400 Paar’.
After ending his Mahakalpada visit, the former 4th times MP, Jay Panda then flown to Garapur under Kendrapara block, where he also interacted with locals and party leaders.
Political observers believed that contrary to 2019, there was a severe undercurrent in favour of BJP in entire Kendrapara Parliamentary segments this time in 2024 while internal fights, mudslinging among leaders, VK Pandian’s excessive interference in Government, BJD affairs, and priority to turncoats may hit BJD’s vote share in MLA seats like Aul, Rajnagar, Mahakalpada, Patkura , Salipur and Mahanga , which comes under Kendrapara Parliamentary seat.
Division of BJD and Congress votes in several MLA seats , will ultimately help BJP. Congress has put a little know face like Sidharth Swaroop Das against BJP’s mighty Jay Panda and BJD’s turncoat Anshuman Mohanty in Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat. Both Das and Mohanty lacks political maturity, which will help BJP’s Jay Panda, who is a seasoned and senior National level political leader and globally recognised commentator on international matters, foreign policies and internal security issues.
Meanwhile, backed by massive Modi wave, and since Jay Panda is a very popular face, in not only Kendrapara but also at National level, as he twice represented this seat between 2009 to 2019 in Lok Sabha and twice represented Odisha in Rajya Sabha, and now BJP’s one of the key election strategist, with in charge for States like Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Delhi, the Saffron Party is strongly hoping to bag this politically sensitive and very prestigious Lok Sabha seat in Odisha, sources said.
