Baijayant Panda Reiterates BJP’s 100 Seats Target in Assam

BHUBANESWAR/GUWAHATI: BJP National VP and In Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda while attending Party’s Assam unit, State executive meet, reiterated that the Saffron will surge again and Party has target to win more than 100 seats.  BJP’s winning journey was started from Barak Valley in Assam in 1991 and the Party’s 100-plus target for next assembly polls also started from Barak Valley.

BJP National VP Jay Panda was addressing the meeting along Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Saha Pravari for Assam, Pawan Sharma and BJP National General Secretary and MP Dilip Saikia.

“The state executive meeting was also attended by Sah-prabhari Shri @PawanSharmabjp1 Ji, @BJP4India GS & MP @DilipSaikia4Bjp Ji and other state office bearers,” Office of Jay Panda tweeted @mp_office.

The two-day long executive meeting is crucial for the Assam BJP unit as it intends to finalise the roadmap for securing over 100 seats in the Assam assembly polls in 2021. Assam BJP has set a target of winning over 100 seats in the next assembly polls in the state.

In Assam, several elected representatives at the district level have joined the BJP in the last few weeks. Home Minister Amit Shah will  conduct a rally in Assam  on December 26. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s statue will be unveiled on his birth anniversary, sources added.

BJP sources said Party National VP Jay Panda will be touring the whole State in the coming days. After BTC, BJP have swept one more local body election of Tiwa Autonomous Council in Assam. BJP had won 33 out of 36 seats.
