BHUBANESWAR:Unable to come to power through democratic means, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and senior Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi, his sister Smt. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and the allies of the Indi Ment are creating anarchy. Under the cover of political resistance or ‘political resistance’ and ‘democratic suppression’, they are hatching a deep conspiracy against the Indian Constitution, democracy and constitutional institutions. On October 10, during the protest in Delhi, during which the national president of the student wing of the Communist Party of India (ML), AISA, Neha Bora, exposed the anarchy and conspiracy being hatched by Rahul Gandhi. Neha Bora recently described the ‘Gen-G’ movement of Bangladesh as her “ideal” and gave her “Lal Salaam”.
The Bangladesh riots of 2024 witnessed violence, widespread unrest and attacks on a small number of people, especially Hindus. More than 1,400 people lost their lives. Before calling such incidents a model for the youth, its consequences should be considered seriously. In a large democratic country like India, the path to political change is not through violent conflict and chaos but through the constitution, elections and the mandate of the people. What political message does Rahul Gandhi want to convey by standing shoulder to shoulder with individuals who glorify such a bloody and destructive model, wondered the state editor Smriti Patnaik.
Addressing a press conference at the state office today, Ms. Patnaik said that it is a matter of serious concern that Rahul Gandhi is holding a joint press conference with lawyer Prashant Bhushan just 24 hours after he spoke about ‘revolution and bloodshed’ in his ‘Twitter Space’ discussion. Rahul Gandhi and his associates are trying to create an atmosphere of unrest and riots in the country during holy festivals like Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali.
Is not the call to emulate Bangladesh-style movements in India a clear proof of Rahul Gandhi’s anarchist mentality? Why is the Congress, which claims to be the guardian of democracy, standing up for someone like Neha Bora and choosing a violent model for India? “By standing with the supporters of the Bangladesh Model, how can the Congress party guarantee that their protest will be peaceful? Neha Bora’s speech, the global pattern of ‘Skeleton’ T-shirts and Prashant Bhushan’s call for bloodshed, do not all these together point towards a larger conspiracy to create an uprising against the Indian nation,” asked Mrs. Patnaik.
India’s democracy is based on public trust, strong constitutional institutions and peaceful political competition. In a democracy, everyone has the right to criticize and protest the government, but any tendency to resort to violence or destabilize the constitutional order in the name of protest cannot be supported, said Ms. Patnaik directly.
State Media Coordinator Shri Sujit Kumar Das was present at this press conference.
