BHUBANESWAR: Senior IAS officer Asit Kumar Tripathy has taken over as 43rd Chief Secretary of Odisha replacing Aditya Prasad Padhi.
Tripathy was Development Commissioner and elevated to Chief Secretary. Another senior IAS officer Gagan Dhal was earlier eyeing for the post.
Tripathy also served as ACS Home. Meanwhile, Aditya Prasad Padhi has taken over as State Election Commissioner (SEC) . Padhi is the 17th SEC of Odisha and his appointment comes at a crucial time, when the State will be facing Urban Elections.
