BHUBANESWAR: Today Additional Special Judge, Bhubaneswar Mrs Sasmita Parhi pronounced the judgement of conviction in T.R Case No.18/2012, arising out of Bhubaneswar Vigilance P S.case No.29/2011.
The accused Ashok Kumar Patasahani, VLW-cum-Executive officer Hirapur GP In Charge Botalama GP. Under Begunia Block, is found guilty U/S 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)& r/w 7 of P.C.Act 1988 for demanding and accepting bribe money from the complainant Dolagobinda Majhi and he is sentenced to undergo R.I. for a period of one year and to pay sentenced fine of Rs10,000/(Ten thousand) in default of which he has to undergo further R.I. for four months for u/s 7 P.C Act 1988 & he is sentenced to undergo RI for a period of two years and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- in default of which he is undergo RI six months u/s 13 (2),of PC Act.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for dismissal of Sri Ashok Kumar Patasahani, A/p-VLW, Bolagarh Block, DistKhurdha from service following his conviction.
