PURI:All the valuable ornaments and materials have been permanently taken to the original Ratnabhandar of the temple, which has been given a new look after conservation and renovation. The work started at 10:55 am today and ended at 2:55 pm. This work has been done as per the Sri Jagannath Temple Rules-1960 and the guidelines approved by the state government.
Last year (2024) during the Rath Yatra, for the purpose of renovation and conservation, the ornaments and materials of the original Ratnabhandar (both external and internal) were shifted to the temporary storage or strongroom, the Khatshej Ghar (inside) and the Changada and Phul Ghar (outside storage). On July 7, the ASI completed the renovation and conservation of the original Ratnabhandar (both external and internal) and today all the valuable materials from the temporary storage were permanently taken to the original Ratnabhandar. Before this transfer, it was 19 On the date, the newly renovated Bhandari was renovated.
As per the established procedure and guidelines of the state government, the members of the Ratnabhandar Committee and high-level committee members entered the Jagmohan Temple wearing traditional attire early this morning. The process began with the blessings of the Mahaprabhu.
The temporary inner store or strong room was opened in the presence of the magistrate with the keys from the treasury. All the valuables were taken from there to the permanent inner store. After all the ornaments and materials were removed, the original inner store was locked and sealed in the presence of the magistrate as per the procedure and the relevant keys were deposited in the district treasury.
After this, as per the arrangement, the Changada Garh temporary external storage or strongroom was opened. Three keys, the key of the Gajapati Maharaj, the administration of the temple and the storage manager, came and opened it. From there, all the materials were taken to the original external storage that had been given a new look. After all the materials were transferred, the original external storage was closed with all three locks. The process of transferring both the storage materials was also videographed.
After completing the work, all the members had darshan of Mahaprabhu and offered their obeisances. After the security check, all the members left Jagmohan.
