Gist of the Case:
Sumitra Srichandan is the widow of Surendra Srichandan resides at Rasulgarh, Bhubaneswar. She has four sons and two daughters. One son has died earlier. Sumitra is running through illness and is not able to taking care of herself. Though her three sons are residing in the same residence yet they are not taking care of her. Her daughter Rina Jena who is residing at the same building takes care of her.
Rina is a house wife having no income to meet the expense of treatment of her mother. There was a plot on the name of Sumitra Srichandan at Panchupalli under Airfield PS. Sumitra Srichandan i.e. the mother of complainant sold the said land by executing sale deed dt. 06.12.2023 at the office of the Sub Registrar Jatni, Khordha.
On 08.12.2023 at 8.30 AM when both the Complainant and her mother had been to Panchupalli i.e. to their sold land, the above noted accused person and his associates came there and assaulted both of them. Sumitra Srichandan admitted at Amri Hospital BBSR and discharged on 09.12.2023 and reported the fact at PS for legal action.
During investigation the accused Silu Srichandan has been arrested and forwarded to the court today.
