BHUBANESWAR: Airfield PS Case No-226, dt.08.08.2024, U/S- 115(2)/ 117(2)/126(2)/103(1)/3(5) BNS.
The Incident:
That, on Dt 08.08.2024 Complaint Mana Sethi, W/O- Upendra Sethi , Vill- Kuha, PS- Airfield , Dist- Khurda intimated in writing alleging there in that, on Dt 07.08.2024 at about 8.30 P.M to 9 P.M her Son Rashmiranjan Sethi @ Jitua and his friend were at their chicken shop, near Kalyani Plaza annex. By that time Ganesh Mllick reached there and there was quarrel in between her son Jitua and Ganesh Mallick of the same village on the issue of parking of a car at the parking area of Kalyani Plaza Annex, Block – 5. Due to that issue Ganesh Mallick called his cousin Pradeep Mallick and both of them committed gruesome murder of Jitua and his friend Julu by stabbing on the chest and belly using a big size dagger.
Airfield P.S took very swift and quick action on this issue and arrested the involved accused persons within three days of the incident.
Name and address of the accused persons arrested:
Ganesh Mallick-34, S/O- Bichitrananda Mallick, Pradeep Mallick aka Raula-39, S/O- Harihara Mallick, both are of vill- Kuha , PS- Airfield , Dist- Khurda.
Articles seized:
- The weapon of offence i.e a knife.
- One CBZ motorcycle of accused persons.
- Wearing apparels of accused persons.
- Other biological exhibits and evidences.
By using all modern techniques of investigation, analysing CCTV footage, CDR analysis, studying the previous enmity, engaging reliable sources police could crack the case quickly and arrested the accused persons.
The occurrence:
From the facts and circumstances it is established that, on Dt 07-08-2024 from 08:30 PM to 09:00 PM in the evening, due to parking of four wheeler of the deceased Rashmiranjan Sethi @ Jitua in the Kalyani Plaza Annex Block-5 there was dispute between Rashmiranjan Sethi @ Jitua and Ganesh Mallick who was recently taking care of the apartment society. Rashmiranjan Sethi @ Jitua and his friend Julu @ Sambit Kumar Rout , were selling chicken in their chicken counter in front of Kalyani Plaza Annex, at that time the accused Ganesh Mallick came to the spot and there was a scuffle between the deceased Rashmiranjan Sethi @ Jitua and Ganesh Mallick for the issue.
After that Ganesh Mallick called his associate Pradeep Kumar Mallick @ Raula to the spot. They both attacked Rashmiranjan Sethi @ Jitua and the accd. Pradeep Mallick @ Raula stabbed Jitua on his chest. On hearing the screaming sound of his friend Jitu, Julu @ Sambit Rout came to rescue him. He was also stabbed by Pradeep Mallick @ Raula on instigation of his associate Ganesh Mallick. Both the accused persons are arrested from Hansapal today.
