Ahead of PM’s visit, Naveen Patnaik talks with Mamata Banerjee over Phone

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik spoke to West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee over telephone on Friday and enquired about the intensity of damage due to #CycloneAmphan. CM Patnaik assured all possible support to West Bengal in terms of personnel and materials to overcome this critical situation.

During a telephonic conversation, Patnaik enquired about the intensity of the damage caused due to the extremely severe cyclonic storm and conveyed Odisha”s absolute solidarity with the people of West Bengal at this hour of crisis, a statement released by the Odisha Chief Minister”s Office said

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also visited West Bengal and is also likely make an aerial survey of Amphan hit areas of Odisha later in the day and will hold talks with Patnaik before departing for New Delhi.

Odisha Government will present Memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Amphan affected Odisha to take stock of the situation.
