BHUBANESWAR:A state-of-the-art facility for comprehensive cancer treatment was inaugurated at the SUM Ultimate Medicare here, the new healthcare initiative of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan, on Monday extending 360-degree cancer care solutions to patients.
‘SUMUM Hopesprings Block’, the hospital’s new cancer care wing, is equipped with the high-end Varian TrueBeam Premium Linear Accelerator, Bravos 30 channel premium HDR Brachytherapy system, PET-CT-Biograph Horizon, SPECT (Gamma Camera)- Symbia Evo and latest treatment modules to extend advanced cancer care to the afflicted, a SUMUM release here said.
The move aligned with the hospital’s vision to provide advanced 360-degree cancer care solutions and reflected its integrated approach towards cancer management. The hospital brought to the fore all three modalities of cancer care—medical, surgical and radiation oncology under one roof.
