BHUBANESWAR: Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi kicked off Odisha’s UAE investor outreach with a high-level meeting with senior representatives of the International Holding Company (IHC), a leading Abu Dhabi-based investment group with interests across strategic sectors.
The meeting was attended by Karan Adani, Sagar Adani, Syed Basar Shueb, MD & CEO, IHC Group, Peter Abraam, Chief Strategic & Growth Officer, IHC, Samia Bouazza, CEO, 2PointZero Group, and representatives of leading companies. Discussions focused on potential investments in metallurgy, rare earth and critical minerals, coal-to-chemicals, port-based SEZs and industrial infrastructure.
Adani Group and IHC Group expressed interest in exploring 14 projects with MoUs signed, involving an estimated aggregate investment of Rs 2.105 lakh crore and approximately 8.7 lakh employment opportunities.
The CM Majhi, during a roundtable with IHC representatives in Abu Dhabi, said, “Odisha offers a unique combination of natural resources, industrial capabilities, strategic location and a growing infrastructure ecosystem.” CM Majhi invited IHC and its group companies to explore long-term investment opportunities in Odisha, particularly in critical minerals, metallurgy, port-led development and emerging industrial sectors. He highlighted Odisha’s investor-friendly ecosystem and assured continued government support to facilitate strategic investments and partnerships.
