PURI/BHUBANESWAR: With Works Department and as well as Odisha Bridge Construction Corporation led by able Dr Krishan Kumar, happens to be the chief administrator of Shree Jagannatha Temple Administration, (SJTA), is missing no stone unturned, the re-developmental work of Municipal Market Complex under the ABADHA scheme launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is in full swing in Puri. The work of roof slab reinforcement of the 3rd floor is in progress. The brick work of the 1st floor is completed, the same for the 2nd floor is going on seamlessly. Work related to fire safety measures on the ground floor is in its preliminary stage, the Odisha Bridge Construction Corporation, a State PSU, of State Works Department, said in a tweet on Wednesday.

In January 2020, Chief Minister Patnaik had laid foundation stone of renovation of municipal market complex into a modern market complex along Grand Road in Puri. As many as 550 vending outlets and parking space for 100 cars will be developed with an investment Rs 50 crore. A multi-level parking for 500 cars and 350 vending outlets will also come up at Jail Road at a cost of Rs 96 crore.
With Chief Minister Patnaik and 5T Secretary VK Pandian closely monitoring these projects Works Secretary and OBCC MD, Dr Krishan Kumar and his team too also working overtime to complete it in time and Puri World Heritage Project which aims to transform Puri into a world-class heritage city by end of the 2022, will become a reality.
