BHUBANESWAR: A major success has been achieved in the ongoing campaign by the Special Crime Unit of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police against illegal narcotic operations.
On 31.08.2024, based on secret information, the Special Crime Unit conducted a planned operation in the Bhotapada village area under Mancheswar Police Station in Bhubaneswar. During the operation, one individual involved in the illegal brown sugar trade was apprehended.
From his possession, 305 grams of brown sugar, one mobile phone, and ₹520 in cash were seized. In this incident, one accused has been arrested while the investigation into the case continues.
The Commissionerate Police’s campaign will continue unabated to eradicate the drug trade, dismantle the narcotic supply chain, and build a secure and drug-free society.
