Nepal Floods, Information Related to Odias:
Shri Sandeep Mahapatra and Smt. Siddharthi Kumari Sahu had arrived in Nepal on 22 August 2026. They are residents of Khordha district, but have been living in Australia since the month of 2018. Currently, their mobile phones are switched off and contact cannot be established with them. All necessary information has been collected from their sister and provided to the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India. They remain missing to date.
Shri Rakesh Kumar Panda, a resident of Puri district, had gone to Nepal with two others. They are safe and are returning to India after crossing the Raxaul border check post.
A team of 6 football players from Odisha, along with coach Shri Halim, had gone to Pokhara in Nepal to play a football match. According to the coach’s information, all are safe.
