BHUBANESWAR:The 78th Capital Foundation Day was concluded today with an entertaining cultural program. Today, on the second and concluding day, Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner Shri Minoranjang Sahu inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. He sought the cooperation of all the citizens to make the capital Bhubaneswar a clean city and a peaceful place to live. He also wished for the joint efforts of all to make the capital a developed and prosperous city.
In the closing ceremony, Vice President of the Capital Foundation Day Celebration Committee, Shri Pradyumna Kumar Mohanty, joined the event and appreciated the Bhubaneswar Metropolitan Corporation for organizing the Capital Foundation Day celebration and all the cooperation.
He also expressed gratitude to the various departments and organizations of the state government, including the Odia Language, Literature and Culture Department, Information and Public Relations, Heritage Department, Bhubaneswar Development Authority, etc. for their cooperation. Advisor to the Media Federation, Shri Gaurchandra Mohapatra was present. Shri Malay Kumar Behera, Shri Subhankar Kumar and Senior Public Relations Officer, Shri Pathani Rout helped in organizing the main event.
Among the cultural programs held today, Bhajans and light songs were performed by Malkhamba, Subash Das and his colleagues from Pashu Mukha Dance Company of Ganjam, Pallavi Natya Association of Mayurbhanj, Karanjia, while Shri Basudev Nath coordinated the program.
