295 active Maoists’ Militias Shun Violence, Surrenders before Police in Odisha’s Malkangiri

MALAKANGIRI/BHUBANESWAR: With DGP SK Bansal man from Intelligence Bureau taking lead backed by timely coordination by able IGP(Operations) Amitabh Thakur , coupled with committed work of DIG SIW Anirudha Singh, and as well as DIG SWR Rajesh Pandit, left-wing insurgency related violence has been on decline and Maoists supporters and active militias are started hoping on help of police and administration.

Due to proactive role of Malkangiri SP, Nitish Vadhwani, Odisha on Saturday scripted yet another annals of glory in its fight against left wing insurgency. After surrender of 50 active Militias on 02.06.2022 before DGP Odisha, another 295 active Militias of Jantri GP surrendered before Police and District Administration of Malkangiri on Saturday.

As many as 295 active Militias, Village Committee Members, Sympathisers and members of Gana Natya Sangha from villages Dhakadpadar, Dabuguda, Taber and Arlingpada of Jantri GP under Jodambo PS surrendered before police and district administration of Malkangiri at Jantri BSF COB on Saturday.

Malkangiri SP Nitish Vadhwani, BSF Commandant, Chitrakonda SDPO Anshuman Dwivedi and other officials were present at the special function held at the BSF camp at Jantri this morning.The district administration also distributed job cards & pension cards and the police distributed sports equipment to the surrendered villagers.
